Why we chose this SaaS landing page example

Buy Me a Coffee, a subscription and membership management platform for creators, has done quite a few things right on its website hero.

Let’s start with the social proof: ‘Loved by 1,000,000+ creators'. Not many SaaS companies can claim that user count, but if you can, it definitely belongs to the hero.

On the left and right, you can see use cases and the number of supporters and members each has. It looks like Buy Me a Coffee has strategically selected creators with different audience sizes to avoid scaring off someone who’s just thinking about building a member community.

The hero text, ‘Fund your creative work’, communicates the solution's key capability. I’d recommend this strategy to every SaaS – it removes any confusion from page visitors' minds and helps them digest what comes next.

The description lists three features and then addresses the most common objection, saying, ‘It’s easier than you think’. You can use the same strategy by turning your customer’s frustration (here: handling memberships is hard) into a positive statement.

Just like the best SaaS websites tend to do, the call-to-action button uses active language (‘Start my page’). The small text underneath saying ‘It’s free and takes less than a minute!’ handles the other two common hesitations page visitors might have. “How much does it cost, and does it take a lot of time to set up?” are popular questions in any SaaS website support chat.

What’s Buy Me a Coffee?

Buy Me a Coffee is built for creators, artists, and freelancers who often turn to platforms like Patreon or PayPal but struggle with their complicated setups and high fees. It offers a straightforward way for supporters to make one-time or recurring contributions. Key features include personalized donation pages, membership options, and easy social media integration. This helps creators earn money more easily, engage with their community, and expand their supporter base.
